Thy Eyes

I loved the stars
Until I saw your eyes
Clear as crystal
Beautiful warm eyes
Eyes of a deer, are they
Or gems from the ocean bed
Masterpieces of some sculptur
Or a painter's dream come true
They, the origin of beauty
They, the end of time
They, the beat of my heart
They, the joy of my life

Persistent Love

Times may change
Faces may dull
Wrinkles may appear
But my love for you will persist still
The hair may grey
Time may not show
The beauty you had long ago
But my love will not lose its glow
My love for you
Is not like the seasons
that come and go
My love for you is
As Shakespeare said " An ever fixed mark"
That is here to stay

Good Morning

Rise Man Rise,
The Sun has risen again
The Nests are empty,
The birds are gathering grain
The cock has raised its shrill voice at dawn
The cuckoo has sung its morning song
The squirrels have begun collecting nuts since long
Rise Man Rise and finish your snorning song
Stop sleeping, come out and see
How beautiful are the plants and trees
And watch the flowers blossom in sunshine
Rise and see this morning fine
See the horse exercise swinging its mane
Rise man rise the morning sun has risen again

Your Eyes

Golden Sun, Silver Skies,
But none to match your sunshine eyes
Warm like life,
Its very glow,
Makes my heart go go slow.

Rainy Day

It is a rainy day
In the month of May
The skies are grey
The clouds here to stay
Drip Drip Drip
Over the rooftops
Seconds Minutes Hours
Oh God! When will it stop
Indoors I have to stay
In bed, here I lay
Hot tea and some Kachoree
Give me company
The television is on
The book unread
I wish I was out
Somewhere else instead
I remember the good old days
Playing football in the mud filled park
Or fishing with a torch in the dark
Now I am not so bold
I fear for flu or cold
I am growing old
Both in age and heart
Quietly I get out of the bed
And peer through the windows
The rains are still going strong
I hope it doesn't continue for long
